What is a Physician Assistant (PA)?

A physician assistant is a nationally certified and state-licensed medical professional. A PA practices mdicine as part of a health care team. Physician Assistants are trained with the medical model and complete these qualifications in less time than a traditional medical degree.

  • Order and interpret tests
  • Diagnose illnesses

Personal Information

Renee grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. After completing her undergraduate training at the University of Michigan, Renee worked in a clinical research cell culture lab at the University of Arizona College of Nursing. After her Physician Assistant training at Wayne State University, Renee returned to Tucson, Arizona where worked in primary care pediatrics for six years. Renee and her husband Dave decided to return to Michigan and now have a daughter and a son. Renee enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities including running and skiing.
